K-food fest crash lands across Malaysia


Those curious about Korean food can explore bites at 160 South Korean convenience store chain outlets in Malaysia.

The promotion across all CU Malaysia outlets highlights a variety of exclusive imported South Korean snacks and beverages.

Shoppers can enjoy special deals such as Buy 2, Get 1 Free on selected snacks and a K-food combo set at RM11.90, featuring CU tteokbokki, Cantabile fruit drinks and Istea pouch beverages.

The initiative is in partnership with government agency Korea Agro-Fisheries and Food Trade Corporation (aT) to promote authentic South Korean food and lifestyle experiences to Malaysians through nationwide promotions and cultural events.

According to a CU Malaysia media release, the K-food campaign with aT Kuala Lumpur Center complemented the inaugural South Korean food and lifestyle festival in Malaysia.

K-Fresh Universe Malaysia 2025 is being held at Mytown Shopping Centre in Kuala Lumpur until Nov 2.

“Together, we aim to expand the reach of K-food in Malaysia and deepen cultural connections between our two countries,” said aT Kuala Lumpur Center director Chang Chung Ho.

K-Fresh Universe Malaysia showcases premium Korean fruits, authentic food ingredients and freshly made Korean delicacies alongside a marketplace offering a wide range of K-snacks, desserts and beverages.

CU Malaysia will be featuring its signature Korean favourites including tteokbokki, corn sausage and gimbap.

The event is open from 10am to 10pm. Admission is free.
