Piaget's new Sixtie timepiece is an into-the-blue design watch

Sixty seconds. Sixty times an hour.

The vivacious era of the Swinging Sixties.

In an ode to Piaget’s rich legacy of creating iconic jewellery watches since the 1960s, the luxury brand is introducing a new Sixtie timepiece – an into-the-blue design watch available in two fresh versions.

Launched in 2025, this new revival is a jewel that graces the wrist and celebrates the union of timepieces and jewellery as conceived in Piaget’s 21st Century collection, unveiled at Basel in 1969.

The collection became a watershed moment for the maison as the distinction between a watch and jewellery piece was forever merged since that time.

The new Sixtie watch anchors itself on a deep blue alligator strap, taking the place of the precious metal bracelet of the previous watches.

Chic and unembellished, this gently gleaming strap is linked by a new ardillon buckle and accentuates the minutely detailed motifs that swoop around the frame, each one individually etched in soft, satiny pink gold.

Piaget offers up two variations of the dial. The first, a silvered solar satin sprinkled with golden Roman numeral markers.

The second variation unveils its face in blue quartz – a material distinct in its markings with a rich, marbled blue veined with darker streaks.

While the former achieves the effect of light shining against a dark backdrop, the latter pays homage to Piaget’s legacy in magnetic ornamental stone dials.
