> A museum visitor in Guangzhou, China, nearly lost his arm when the limb got stuck inside a dinosaur exhibit, China Press reported.
He was saved when a staff member cut off the dinosaur’s lower jaw.
This happened last Saturday at the Zhengjia Museum of Natural Science, where he was seen heading towards an exhibit of an oviraptor – a feathered dinosaur around half the height of an adult male human found in Mongolia.
CCTV footage showed the man extending his right arm across a barrier and reaching into the dinosaur’s mouth.
He was seen struggling to free himself while the arm turned pale due to restricted blood flow.
Museum staff decided to cut off the dinosaur model’s lower jaw to free the man.
A spokesperson from the museum said the oviraptor exhibit, which features a scene of the dinosaur laying eggs, has always been popular among visitors.
The exhibit had to be temporarily closed for repairs, he said.
